Race Report
For age groups: U9, U11, U13, U15
Young Athletes Club hosted our first Open Cross Country for young athletes at Stoke Park on Sunday 8th Feb 2026. We had over 200 entries and on the day 173 athletes took part, some racing cross country for the first time. By some miracle, the weather stayed dry. True to cross country, some parts of the course were wet and muddy, but most of the course around the undulating grass playing fields of Stoke Park proved to be perfect for cross country and made easy viewing for parents and spectators.
The huge archway for the start and finish gave the event a professional feel and results were available immediately for medal presentations to take place after each race. Thank you to Krono Sports for efficient race results!
We were delighted to have great feedback from athletes and parents alike who enjoyed the event and are keen to come again next year.
