What is Juniors Training?

Monday and Friday 5pm to 6pm

Expert Coaching for athletes age 6 to year 6

What does a training session for Juniors involve?
  • Structured sessions tailored to younger athletes
  • Sessions are based on England Athletics ethos: Run, Jump, Throw
  • Summer training involves teaching 6 key events: sprints, hurdles, middle distance, vortex throw, high jump, long jump and relays to finish each session
  • Winter training involves circuits, fitness and agility training, running, jumping, throwing

The aim of Junior Training is to provide learning in key events in a fun, safe and supportive environment for young athletes to develop skills and build confidence.

Taster Session Invitation

Please Check The following:
  • Which DATE? – Check the date for your Taster Invition
  • Which colour GROUP? – Athletes are in age groups by colour
This will help your athlete know where to go when you arrive at the track.

Attend The Taster Session

Please see our parent helper or report to a coach on arrival at the track.
If you cannot attend on this date, please let us know immediately so we can re-book the Taster.

Payment Details

As of Autumn Term 2025, we now have Monthly Membership payments for YAC Juniors. 

Once you have done your Taster Session you will be sent information about how to pay for regular sessions by setting up your direct debit.

Membership Fees

(as at Sept 2025)

  • Fees are paid by monthly direct debit
  • Monthly fee is £33 
  • Sibling rate is £28 
  • One-off joining fee of £25 (includes free T shirt!)
  • Fees cover one training session (1 hour long) per week
  • Joining part way through the term?  You only pay for the sessions you use.
  • Fee of £10 applies if the first payment is missed
  • One month notice required to cancel
